Space Sheriff Gavan 1-6

TORRENT

Here’s the first six episodes of Space Sheriff Gavan, the first entry in the Metal Heroes franchise. Gavan premiered on March 5, 1982, and ran for 44 episodes. Most of you are probably familiar with Gavan from Gokaiger vs Gavan, and Gavan the Movie but nothing compares to seeing the actual series itself. The stunts and action scenes in this show are top-notch, and the frantic camera work really sets this show apart. Combined with the wacky and downright trippy Makuu Space, makes this show really feel unique.

We hope you enjoy this legendary show!

Trivia: Fans of Zyuranger will recognize Tatara Jun, aka Barza, as the owner of the Avalon Riding Club.

tl;dr KENJI OHBA IS A BADASS!

  1. Oh. My. God.
This is so awesome! If anyone can finally do a metal hero series from the beginning to the end, it’s you guys. Thank you!

  2. We have an official release in France so i’m not really interested by this project but it’s cool that the rest of the world will be able to watch it with subs. I liked Gavan. It’s the only Metal Hero i enjoyed TBH XD

  3. Holy shit! Gavan finally getting subbed! It’s a shame many classics don’t get subbed or get much attention just because they are old. Great to see you guys rectify some of that. Thanks!

  4. Thank you!
I can’t tell you how much I appreciate seeing more Kenji Ohba, and another Metal Hero series.
    Okay, I lied. I can. LOTS! 😀

  5. Oh great, as if I don’t have enough shown to watch already. Next thing I know you’ll be subbing Aizenborg.

  6. Gavan is amazing. It was aired in Brazil many years ago, but it’s always good to see with the original voices…

Changing the subject, I was really expecting the next show you guys would do was Dynaman…. 😦

  7. Isn’t Gavan also supposedly one of the inspirations for the movie Robocop?

Also, Daft Punk’s costumes look like Gavan’s, because that show aired in France under a different name.

    • You have to remember that this was before the internet so just because people had similar looks it doesn’t mean it was copying it. I actually heard that the Robocop design was based on some Canadian kids show that looked like the lost brother of Metal Heroes.

      • I heard it happened like this: the director of Robocop stayed one night in a Japanese hotel and saw an episode of Gavan while channel-surfing, which gave him the idea for Robocop’s design. Years later, Metal Heroes payed tribute to that inspiration, and it came full circle with Janperson, which was largely inspired by Robocop (both in design and in plot)…

      • Whoops, yeah, Jiban, sorry…haha…haven’t actually seen either Jiban or Janperson myself, so I misremembered…

  8. Thank you so much. Wanted to watch gavan and the metal heroes series but could not find subs for half of them or working links for most of the subbed one. Six eps in one is amazing. Please keep up the amazing work.

    • I don’t want to sound like a douchebag but this isn’t really the place for that type of comment. But I might’ve had to move the file due to MEGA being a pain since the original link was posted. If you head to my wordpress, that you can get to by clicking my name, then head to the folders section and you’ll find it in the Crossovers folder.

  9. I’ve been trying to watch the show but every time I download it I get a black screen, I still get sound but no video. Do you know how I can get it to work? For reference I download and watch my videos on Torrex.
