Didn’t we just finish this show? Well now there’s blu-rays! And boy do they look good! So good in fact that we just had to sub them. It’s amazing how good this show looks now. It’s a pure visual treat!

This release is all of Box 1 and what we have so far. The rest of the series will be out when we get the rest of the raws (Which have been generously provided by BunnyHat. Big thanks!)

Subs wise there’s no difference between this and our old release.

Big shoutout to Ignis for helping me setup Python and Sushi. Without you we’d never have released these. Thanks!

(And no, this didn’t take any time away from Sharivan or Dynaman. Those are coming very soon.)

Space Sheriff Gavan 34-44 [END]

Happy Halloween! We hope you enjoy this extra large treat. With this final release Gavan is now completely subbed! It’s been a real blast working on this show, and we hope you enjoyed the ride.

But just because Gavan is over doesn’t mean Retsu’s story is done. Retsu’s story continues on, and so do we. We’ll see you again for the next entry in the Space Sheriff trilogy!

EDIT: One thing to note is that Voicer is played by the amazing Sonny Chiba. Sonny Chiba and Kenji Ohba would later star together in 2003’s Kill Bill Vol 1. With Chiba playing Hattori Hanzo, and Ohba as his assistant.

Gavan 29-33

Look who’s talking.

Here’s a double stuffed pack of Gavan for your viewing pleasure! And what a great set of episodes it is.

In Ep 29 the great Hikita Tenko the Second guest stars as… herself! Hikita Tenko aka Princess Tenko is the stage name of Mariko Itakura, a famous Japanese magician and illusionist. She inherited the title of Hikita Tenko from the first Tenko who unfortunately died of heart disease at the age of 45. In 1994 she debuted at the Radio City Music Hall and achieved worldwide fame. She was so famous that she even had an animated show on US television in 1995 titled Tenko and the Guardian of the Magic. The magical girl-esque show was produced by Saban and ran for 13 episodes. Tenko herself would make an appearance at the end of the episodes to show off a magic trick. Tenko would also go on to appear in another Metal Hero series in episode 24 of Metalder.

If you want to see some of her tricks check this out. It’s pretty crazy.

Ep 31: What’s better than Hikita Tenko? How about Hiroshi Miyauchi? Every other guest star is only second best. Enough said.

Gavan 20-21

Nyaa has been very screwy lately so we’ll add a torrent later. For now you can get the episodes from the link below.

Happy Valentines Day! We’ve got two episodes for you! In our first episode Makku is after the meteorite that killed the dinosaurs, and in our second episode the very cause that killed the dinosaurs comes back! Actually that last part isn’t quite true. I’m  actually talking about the legendary Machiko Soga, who guest stars as Honeybee Doubler in episode 21! It’s great seeing her interact with Tatara Jun, as the two would later act alongside each other in Zyuranger 10 years later. In typical Soga fashion she steals the show and becomes the star. Toei fans in 1982 would’ve pretty familiar with Soga since she played Queen Hedorian in Sun Vulcan, which aired the year before Gavan started, and of course she was also in Denjiman the year before. I can only imagine they were excited as we were to see her name in the credits.

Like I said she steals the show as only she can, and it’s just a joy to watch. We hope you enjoy it!

TRIVIA: Machiko Soga’s final role was reprising Honey/Honeybee Doubler for the PS2 game Space Sheriff Spirits. She also played Dark Galaxy Queen, an original character that served as the final boss of the game.
